No matter where you look, you can find something about pirates. The first I remember of pirates, is Peter Pan. Captain Hook was so evil to my little mind, that I started to hate pirates. I mean when do you ever hear anything good about a pirate? Now there are pirates everywhere. Tv shows, books movies etc are just a few of the examples of where you can hear about pirates. I would have to say that Pirates of the Carribean is the most well know of all the pirate movies as of late. Sadly, I am a little ashamed to say, that I have never seen any of the P.O.T.C movies.
I was interested to read this book. I wasn't sure what type of pirates I would find. Would they be the normal grouchy mean pirates or would these pirates have or find their heart? At first I didn't think I wold be able to get into these stories, since pirates really aren't my thing. But, when you read stories that are well written, they will draw you in and make you appreciate the story.
There are many good stories in this book and I always have a problem picking out which one is my favorite. In this book, I think that the story I liked the most, is "Blind Man's Bluff." Being blind in a normal ob would be rough but a blind pirate?? Even though he may be blind, this is one pirate who gets into some situations. There was a battle, he trusted a captain he didn't know, and in the end came out better then when he started. It goes to show you that you only have to have a goal in mind and you can do whatever you put your mind to.
These were some good stories! I love how well written they are. When you are reading them, you really feel like the author knows what they are talking about when it comes to pirates and pirate ships.
