DIY Carry Pouch

For years, I have seen people making pencil pouches out of candy wrappers. I thought to myself, there has to be an easier way. Since I'm not in school anymore, I also wanted something smaller.

Since I wanted smaller, I went with a Big League Chew package. After I gave the gum another home of course. Next I gathered up a ZIPLOCK BAG, HOT GLUE GUN AND STICKS, and anything you want to use to decorate your bag. I personally like it the way it is.

First, make sure the inside of the bag is cleaned out. That gum leaves a lot of dust and you don't want that all over your stuff.. or maybe you do. Either way, you decide, clean or not, sit it to the side.

Next pick up the ziploc bag and cut off the top, "zipper" portion. Cut it to fit inside of the gum package. Put a few dots all along both sides of the wrapper of glue from the hot glue gun. I kept them apart so they didn't get glued together. Once they were both dry, I opened and closed it a few times to make sure it will work.

If you happen to use too much glue, it may be harder to close the bag, so watch out how much you put on there. At this point, I'm done with mine. It's ready to go with me as a purse or at home for other things. You can go on to decorate it anyway you want.

There ya go, a nice simple DIY. It took me a whole five minutes to get mine done. i'm actually loving this little package, it is essentially a ziploc Bag, great way to recycle and DIY.

As always, thank you so much for reading, I really hope you leave me your ideas below. Have an amazing day!

DIy Storage Bin

Storage seems to be my DIY theme lately. I guess that is because, I just can't justify spending the money, since we have NO money. Ha Ha Also, it is so much fun to experiment and decorate. Even though I am not very good at it. I need someone girly for that. :)

Anyway, on to the storage bin portion of this blog post. You all know, I tend to get off path with things and tend to ramble. Here is what I used, you may use other things, get creative!

Nesquik Can

Scissors

Craft Tape

Any additonal items you want to add to your bin as well.

I am all about simple and this is no different. To wrap it the way I did, choose two different kinds of tape. Start at the bottom wrapping as many times as you need to cover the bottom row of the can. I had to wrap two times. You then move up a little bit and do it again. Make sure that they aren't farther away then the width of your second tape.

Make your way up the can in this fashion. Next grab the other tape and do the same thing in the open spots all the way up the can. Careful on the top, you will have to keep folding it over as you wrap on the top row.

After that, just put something inside, because you are done! I decided to use mine for spatulas. Next one wiill be spoons. Right now they are taking up a whole drawer that I could use for better things. Plus I like the way it looks in my kitchen.

Well there you have it, another easy DIY, that only takes a few minutes and you get to recycle. As always, I thank you so much for reading and please leave those ideas below!!

DIY Storage Container

Growing up, I had no problem buying or getting the things that I neeeded, without worry. Adult me though, realizes, that life is all about work, and if you can't afford something, try to make it yourself.

I am all about making things that you probably already have in your home. There are even some DIY's, that I will keep the project shelved for months or years, until I can get all the materials needed, for free. That does make for a packed storage room though, and I have to start getting these out to your guys. As always, if you have ideas, let me know in the comments. :)

Now a little background... My bathroom is pretty small. There is storage space, but it is cramped and not nearly the amount that we need. Other reviewers know what I mean. We get a LOT of bathroom products and many continue to be used. Soooo... one day I was putting on my makeup and it was so annoying to have to keep opening up the door and getting out what I needed.

I gathered all of my materials first, just to make sure I have everything. I gathered the following:

Glue Gun and Sticks
Plastic Container (I used a gelato container)
Craft Tape
Box Cutter or other small Knife
Wall Fastener (I used 2 Coat Hanging Knobs)

To start out, take your knife and the plastic container. Cut a few small holes into the bottom (If you are using this for your make up brushes). You can do a long straight line that gets bigger, or holes that the make up brushes will fit down into.

My wall fasteners needed to go through the side of my container, so the holes had to be made there. After I am done making all of the holes, i wrapped the craft tape all around it, like a second skin. It took me a few layers, to stop the images on the container from coming through. (They aren't ones you can take off, I tried!! lol)

When it was looking all beautiful, I cut the holes back out again and slide the fasteners into the back of the container. Since they already have sticky tape on them, I peeled and stuck. Now, you can use a piece of wood, or some other crafty way to stick it to the wall, I just used some review product, I have had for awhile.

Then, all you have to do, is decide what to put in it!. If you were to screw it to the wall, you could put more items inside, then other methods. So depending on how you hang it, you have lots of options. Hairbrush/hair ties/bands, make up brushes/make up, perfumes and colognes, jewelery ETC

The best part about this, is I had everything on hand, plus you can hang them or just keep them on hand as a portable storage, and even in other rooms on the walls there. It's super easy to make, it took me more time to wrap it than it did to do all the rest of the tasks.

Speaking of decorating, make sure you make it into your own. Do something you love. Go crazy with all that fun art stuff. You can even let your kids make their own containers. It may make them keep at least a few things picked up.

I had so much fun making this and I think you will as well, like I said, it could be a fun craft day with the kids or your friends. As always, thank you all so much for reading!

Shower Genius Idea Board

Ever been in the shower and thought of a great idea? It sounds weird, but I know I have. My mind seems to run 24/7, it never stops. Always trying to think of ways to be a better reviewer and loads of other things.

When this thing popped up on Tomoson, I had to have it. Sight unseen of course because, I like to be surprised. The whole idea of it, was something that I need. Not only for my thoughts, but to leave reminders. We always have friends over and if things need done, I don't like people seeing the lists. This way, it can be out, we can see it, and the guests shouldn't ever know it exists.

Now on to the idea board. It looks to be a piece of hard plastic. It is definitely waterproof, there is nothing to ruin on that board. It also comes with the pencil to write with, a towel and the suction cups with hooks, to hang it in the shower. Thats it, it won't take up much room on the shower wall either, unless you have a really tiny shower.

All I did, was suction two cups to the shower wall. I wet them first to make sure they would stick. then I put the other two on the back of the board and hung it from them. It sticks really well so far, no matter how much steam comes from the shower.

Once that is done, get your ideas on and write them down. You can also leave sweet notes and other messages, or doodle. I think this is a fun idea and I have seen a few I Love You's already in the shower. It is definitely a great way to wake up.

If this is something you have heard of before, remember, those others need refills, this one can be used over and over again. All you have to do is wipe off the words and write some more. Fun and easy. Check it out on Amazon.

Boutique Lovin Crystal Necklace

Growing up, I was really interested in a lot of different religions. Just learning about them was fun, even wiccans. The way that they use crystals and candles, is amazing.

So, it goes without saying, to me anyway lol, that I love crystals and I hold them on a higher level than other people. Simply having them inside my home makes me feel like the balance is a little better.

All crystals are beautiful and different. The cuts are never the same even when they are suppose to be and you can see inside and see all the faults, that are also parts of it's beauty. The stone itself, isn't heavy at all. Even though it appears to be.

It does come on a chain, but the chain doesn't look to be too sturdy. If youare going to wear it, it fallspretty far down on me. It settles down around my boob area. But like I said, be careful, the chain may break on you.

This company also has other colors of crystals as well on necklaces. Plus many other great jewelery items. You have to check this out on Amazon and then click on their store and see what else they have as well.

I am in love with this necklace and it stays in my home to keep me safe. I think you will love it as well. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Grandpa Gus's Liquid Mouse Repellent

By now, I hope you have read The other blog post about Grandpa Gus. I didn't really jump into a throwback and sound exactly the same as the last post, so please read it as well, the pouches really are great!

This box and bottle, really follow the same theme as the pouches did. They scream barber shop candy strip pole and I am LOVING it. At this point, it is what I have to be in love with. I won't know any real results for months, so again, let's focus on what I do know, as of now.

The packaging is pretty simple, they didn't waste a bit of space which I respect. So many companies like Amazon for example, throw tiny products into huge boxes. Sooo wasteful, considering, the number of people who recycle is probably smaller than those who don't.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...the box. Grandpa Gus is featured nicely and is the focal point. He draws yours eyes and then you just have to find out what he is selling. Plus the colors go wel together, with nothing crazy, yet they still manage to pop all on their own. It clearly states what the product can be used for, how to use it, and examples of places you can use it.

Now the bottle is pretty cool. Again Grandpa Gus is front and center, but the red liquid steals the show this time. Your eyes go straight for it and you just have to smell it. If you like the smell of Big Red or Firebball, you should like the interesting cinnamon blend in this bottle. The smell to me is great to work with. Especially being made of essential oils, I really feel safe. Sadly it doesn't come out red when you spray it though.

I plan to use this product, out around my home and my shed. i can't give you any real answers on whether it works or not, that will come later in the updates. I know this product is for mice, but I am going to try it for my mole problem. I figure the worst thing that could happen, is we take care of the mole problem.

Please head over and check out the amazing products from Grandpa Gus's!

As you can see, I did get this to review, but I have to say I really love it. From the smell to the brand, every opinion here was my own!

Grandpa Gus's Mouse Repellent Pouches

Growing up, we had a few trees in the yard, but nothing crazy. City life was always the thing I knew and loved. What I didn't realize, is how country you can get, while still living in the city.

Behind our home, is small liittle wooded area. The first thing we found out we had...MOLES! They seem all cute and innocent when you look them up on Google, but those suckers can really tear up your yard. The other thing I noticed, was mice. We have a small storage shed, and that is what I am targeting with these pouches.

I have no problem with mice and I know they need a home too, but my stuff is off limits. I really hope that Grandpa Gus's can help me with all of my current problems.

Now, let's start at the beginning, with Grandpa Gus. I have to say, he is a very endearing and lovable character. It takes me back to the old days, where it feels like a company actually cares about their customer. For me personally, it feels like home. I only have one grandparent left and Grandpa Gus makes me think of him.

Now on to the next topic on my mind and hopefully yours, the packaging. These comes in a coffee bag. That right there tells you that they seal in the odor for you, until you are ready to use your pouches. the color scheme is nice and really sticks with the "older, take me back theme" and the package itself, is just bare enough that you want to know what is inside. Plus they have everything you need to know right there, in your face, ready to be read and used.

The pouches look like tiny potato sacks and seem to be made well. I like that the logo is printed on each one. If you lose everything else, you stilll have that to remember what brand you are using, plus it helps when you go to reorder. The concept of the store and go is one I really like. I can;t remember to put more down every day or week, so this helps. Of course they only last for so long until they will no longer work. I have no idea what is inside of these pouches, but it does smell pretty nice and I assume you can reuse the bags afterwards.

I am using these for my storage shed, one at a time of course. But you can also use them in vehicles you are storing, farm machinery, barns, etc. They do not like the smell and it will keep them from nesting. Keeping you happy.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how well they work, I can update in a few months or even after winter and let you all know how they work. Only time will tell if they work and how well they work. But so far, I am enjoying the testing experience with a great brand like Grandpa Gus's.

Do you have mice problems? Head on over and check out Grandpa Gus and his awesome products. Another great product is on deck so watch for the post!

DIY Storage Hack

Bathrooms are such a tricky thing. Some people have huge bathrooms, with more than enough room to store everything. The rest of us have to get a bit more creative in our process and that is where DIY comes in. DIY is always great and most of the time, you use items you already have in your home or that you can get cheaply.

Like many women, I enjoy my hair and I always want it to look good with different headbands and other hair accessories. The problem is, those accessories take up a lot of space, and space is just not something I have right now. With my OCHD, I can't just leave them lie around all day either, so I needed a solution.

It was easy for me to gather what I needed. Headbands and my make up brush cleaner. Plus a small hanger. We got ours, from a pair of shoes from Wal-Mart and it seems to be the perfect size, you can also check out the ones they use for the capri pants, those should work as well.

The whole process is simple and only takes a few minutes. Simply arrange your items in the clip or around the top, then just hang and go. Perfect for moving between rooms at home and for taking with you on the go and hanging up in your hotel room.

Mine will never stay this way and I am sure it will be changed around sooner rather than later. Change is my friend when it comes to stuff like this.

Remember, your items don't need to be these items, get creative with it. Thank you so much for reading, I am off to find my next project. Have a great day everyone.

Weight Loss-- For me or for them and does it really matter?

Growing up, I had a brother who always snitched on me, he still does it to my kids, even as a grown up. I got over that, but something else he did, has always stuck with me.

He constanlty jabbed at me, calling me fat. I was in no way fat, but after hearing it for so long, you believe it. Once that happened, I was well on my way to being aneorxic. Something I had for many years.

Once I got Fibro and everything that comes with it, they put me ona bunch of medicine and it made me gain a whole lot of weight. I was not happy, for years, I didn't look at myself in the mirror. No one knew.

Once the fued started with his family and they kept throwing the word fat at me, I had had enough. I knew I had to do something.

My problem is I am struggling with who it is for. I want this to be happy, but I also think it will make my husband happier. That is ok with me, but when I start with the thoughts of showing up members of his family with my weight loss, I start to wonder if it really is for me.

But why should I feel bad? at the end of the day, my happiness is what matters right? In the end, it is all for me. The petty stuff just makes me feel better about me.

Anyway you can feel better about yourself, you need to take it. Who cares, if they don't care, it s for you anyway. Rub it in when you can, but most importantly be happy with YOU!

Thank you so much for reading guys. I know this is deviating from my usual, but I had to get it out. :)

RORAIMA Outdoor Camping Chair

Every year, as soon as it gets warm, we start enjoying bonfires and nature. Over the years we have had different outdoor chairs and they were never amazing. Some were great but they never wowed us.

Let's face it, when you are out camping or at a bonfire, you have to have a comfy chair to sit in. You will be sitting in it for quite awhile. Comfort isn't something you talk about with these chairs but it should be. No matter where I am, I want to be comfortable.

This chair and comfort go hand and hand. It doesn't look like it, but once you sit in it, you will fall in love with it. The mesh on the back and in the seat, makes it easy to get air flowing through and keep you cool, even at a fire. There is a 200 pound weight limit, way less than other chairs, so if you are bigger than that, make sure you browse through some other chairs. I just barely make it because of my latest weight loss, so don't feel bad.

A quick look over of the chair, will show you the other cool things that come along with it. You get 2 cup holders, so you can hold two cans and small bottles for yourself or one for you and your partner. Any larger than a 20 oz and you will not be able to fit your drink in the cup holders.

In case you have a lot of stuff, there is also a pouch that hangs down on the side, where you can store your items. No zippers on it, so I wouldn't recommend walking around with items in the pouch, they may fall out.

In the head department, they give you a nice cushion for either your head or neck. it just velcros on the back and it really does do a lot to support you. I seriously wish more outdoor chairs had a neck/headrest.

The best part of this chair though, is the fact that it reclines. All you have to do is push down the arm rests and push back on the backrest. It really does stay reclined as well. Many chairs halfway fold back up after reclinging, but this one just stays put until you are ready to sit it back up. My husand has already taken a few naps in it.

It comes in a handy bag with a strap. Lightweight but definitely heavier than other outdoor chairs that we have owned. You need to head on over to Amazon and check this chair out. You will not be disappointed with it. Find it here:
